Veg Boxes!!

For the past few months now, I have been getting Veg Boxes. This has to be one of the best decisions I’ve made!! All the food is fresh, amazing-quality and organic!! I love coming home on a Monday to find a bix box ((or usually more than one, in my case!!)) at the front door, just waiting for me to discover all the yummy goodness inside.

This week’s box consisted of:

• 5 Beetroot
• 3 Leeks
• 1 Savoy Cabbage
• 8 big Carrots
• Mushrooms
• Sante Potatoes
• And, my first Kabocha Squash!!:

((I know, it’s not a green one, sadly :(, but this is an Orange Kabocha, otherwise known as a Sunshine squash, apparently.))

And this is the box, along with ((most of!!)) the other vegetables I have at the moment..

       

Sweet Potato ((only 1 left!!)), 2 Aubergines, 1 Acorn Squash, 1 “Munchkin” Pumpkin, 2 Bell Peppers and a big Courgette ((not pictured))!!

Near Christmas, they even gave me a huge lemon and the cutest little Mince Tart I had ever seen!! I quickly gobbled-up the Mince Tart, so it’s not pictured here ;).

I was going to put up a recipe today, but it’s a bit late tonight so it will have to wait until next time..

Question:

Do you buy organic when possible?? I try to adhere to the “Dirty Dozen” whenever possible, and also only buy fairtrade Bananas and Cocoa if I can help it.
